ETDC 625 Spring 2012

I seem to be working backwards.  I posted a comment first, now it's time to spell out the post.  The initial set up of this blog on Blogger was relatively easy.  What issues have some of you had?  I have been suggesting Blogger to some of my teachers and none, to date, have come to me for any help.

  1. Welcome to my EDTC625 classmates. Did you get rid of the "Next Blog" link at the top of your page?

  2. It isn't easy to remove tne next blog link, which is why some schools choose to install blogging tools on their own domain rather than use Blogger. We will talk about selecting the right blogging software next week.

P.S. Did you intend to write a post about this instead of a comment?

    1. I was in the middle of a 100 things while I was working on this. I meant to go back and add text to the post after I came up with a question / comment. I added it now. Thanks for reminding me to go back.

  3. Well helloooo! I originally commented on your post a few days ago stating that I hadn't removed the "Next Blog" option at the top of the page. HOWEVER, the response never posted...silly me, didn't realize I had to enter that little verification code so that the post would appear.

    BUT...

No I hadn't removed the "Next Blog" and after reading the directions in the textbook I attempted to but am scared lol...I don't want to mess something up, even though the directions seem simple enough.

  4. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I suggest that you start another blog, maybe under a different google login. That way if you blow up the page, no big deal. Just know classmates, the whole line goes away too, not just the "next blog" when you follow the books directions.

I love your blog for this class. Very busy. Kids will love it.

  6. Saw the poll and voted! I like what you've done so far although I haven't taken the time to see if your links work. I seriously need to add more to my blog site.

  7. I didn't have any problems setting up the blog. It's a relatively easy process. However, most teachers are reluctant to take on another task that requires ongoing maintenance. Then they'll have to figure out how to use the tool in their classroom. Once again, this task will require time and a lot of effort. Unfortunately, most teachers struggle with the use of technology in the classroom.
